In recent times the Kings have been through a torrid time and they are 5 and 12 on the road this year. In recent times the Knicks have stepped up their defence and have restricted their opponents to 91 points in the last 10 games. This combined with the Kings offensive slump in recent times should mean they are restricted to a lowish total tonight. One stat that I love to support our bet is the Knicks are ranked 3rd in the pick and roll category and yet the Kings are ranked 30th at defending PnR's. The Knicks love to spot up (especially for 3's) and they are ranked 2nd in this cat where as Kings are ranked at 16th defending spot ups.Hornets @ T'wolves, Hornets +3 points, 1.95 LOST
The Hornets (4-6) are faring OK and Timberwolves (1-9) are struggling in recent times but clearly the Timberwolves look alarmingly under par and they are b2b tonight. The Hornets dominate in 2point field goals, 3pts, assists and defensive rebounds. The Hornets are actually ranked number 1 in the NBA for transition basketball yet only go to it 10% of the time. Something they may want to change sooner rather than later. In all major methods of scoring (Synergy stats) the Hornets defence outwork the Timberwolves in offence according to the NBA rankings. This bet looks a good one for me.
